This is a straight-forward and little tested port of the GDBM package. 
It was made by doing: 
 
    1) ./configure --prefix=/boot/gnu 
    2) edit system.h and redefine the locking 
    3) make 
    4) make install 
 
The locking stuff is thrown out because it seems like BeOS does not 
support locking in the C filesystem API. Please correct me when I'm 
wrong. If you want to compile it yourself, get the system.h file and 
gdm-1.7.3.tar.gz from your favourite GNU (mirror) site.
