Download the BeOS Preview Release 2

The BeOS Preview Release 2 is no longer available for download. PR2 is obsolete, and difficult to support. For that reason, we are no longer making it available publicly. The Preview Release 2 was released in October 1997, and has been superseded by the BeOS Release 3, which became available in March 1998.

BeOS Release 3 has a large number of new features, for both PowerPC and Intel platforms. Details of the changes are available in the What's New in the BeOS document. Further details of the software included with the BeOS are available in What's on the CD.

The BeOS is priced at $99.95, but for a limited time you can purchase the BeOS Release 3 on CD for $69.95. Details on how and where you can obtain the BeOS Release 3 are available on our BeOS Now! page.
